L'Abbaye de Beaufays, à l'Est de Liège, is impregnated with the life of men and women who and ont prié, soigné, accueilli, enseigné, planté et cultivated, bâti et rénové, well after 900 years…

An oratory was built in 1120 au lieu-dit «  belle fontaine  », du nom de la source que alimente le domaine jusqu'à aujourd'hui. L'Abbaye is founded in 1123 and endowed by the life of Verdun with the forest of hosts, say «  Bellum Fagetum  », qui a donné son nom au village de Beaufays.

Les Chanoines de Saint Augustin and ont vécu jusqu'à la Révolution, reconstruisant et rénovant les bâtiments suite au tremblement de terre de 1692. Depuis, on admire des voûtes et des décors sculptés dates from 1701 pour l'église, from 1733 pour les bâtiments conventuels.

In 1796, he owned the property for sale, published and rented for 4 moines. The church was sold to the commune and became a parish of Beaufays in 1804 so long as the property changed property after five reprises. Des Ursulines allemandes and construisent l'aile Nord in 1875 pour and abriter a pensionnat de jeunes filles.

In 1890, the domaine was sold to Adolphe Laloux who reduced the surface of the ponds and planted the park to the English, not willing to come from the trees to the south of the rails. Afterwards, 5 generations have been successful, éprises de ce lieu also remarkable que paisible et veillant à lui conserver sa beauté. 

Nous sommes la cinquième génération. The world changes, the calm and the space become a luxury. Ce lieu d'exception doit être protégé mais il doit aussi vivre, accueillir et transmettre.

The music at the Abbaye m'a semblé une évidence. 

Here is the chance to meet Jaume Santonja Espinos, chef d'orchestre Espagnol. Il a été immédiatement conquis par les lieux et a proposé, avec une energy et un contagious optimism, d'y concretiser a concert. 

Je le remercie de porter ce projet qui conjuga, comme il le dit si bien, amitié et musique.
